UL924 Emergency Lighting Method — ATX LED

UL924 Emergency Lighting Method

ATX LED supports emergency lighting two ways

Residential Lighting Systems

  1. Our Struct12 supports a UPS input at 44–52 V to power lights and DC loads when 120 VAC fails, supplementing its redundant power supplies.
  2. Struct12 detects mains failure and commands all lights to operate at 5–10% output, extending battery life while ensuring illumination.
  3. Struct12 issues a Group ON for group 15: any light in this group dims to 10%, overriding wall switches to guarantee light even if switches are inaccessible.

Commercial Lighting Systems

  1. Our AL-ATS-8-7D PoE switch senses 120 VAC loss and downgrades PoE outputs from 802.3at to 802.3af.
  2. Our AL-AT-TW1 PoE LED driver then drops from full power to 5% mode, further extending run time.
  3. In 802.3af mode, any user switch is overridden and all lights remain at 5% output.
  4. By default all ports switch to 802.3af, but an admin can assign individual ports to off-state instead of 802.3af to maximize battery endurance.
